The Star (Zvezda) 2009. The Star is a movie at crossroads of grotesque, bitter, sad comedy, and a colorful family drama revealing stingingly satiric and painfully tragic social picture of contemporary Serbia in the midst of the Balkan transitional chaos. The movie offers a way out by reinventing the basic principles of humanity and vitality that can straighten up even the chaos and give hope. The story got recognized and supported by Film Centre Serbia for screenplay development.
Teachers (Učiteljice) 2012 co-written with Milan Nikodijević. Two young female teachers were sent to a distant Serbian village before First Balkan war. A story of lost loves, lost and re-established friendship. The story got recognized and supported by Film Centre Serbia for screenplay development.
Terazije 2008 co-written with Dragan Stanković loosely based on the 1932 novel by the same name by Boško Tokin. Past and present Belgrade, uncompromised journalism, corrupted politicians, tycoons, gold diggers, love affairs and true love.
Faith and Treason (Vere i zavere) 2006 based on the 1983 novel by the same name by Aleksandar Tišma.
The Party (Žurka) is Aleksandar Davić’s 2004 directorial debut. He also wrote the screenplay. A story about generation caught in the beginning of undeclared civil war. An atmosphere filled with hopes, dreams, expectations and worries. Davić received award for Best Screenplay at Screenplay festival Vrnjačka banja 2005 and the film won Award for Best Film at Festival du Film Serbe Paris 2006.
